Registered Psychotherapist

Lauren, a Registered Psychotherapist who believes therapy should feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Her approach is warm, collaborative, down-to-earth, and grounded in the belief that meaningful therapy comes from feeling genuinely understood, supported, and safe enough to be honest, even about the things that feel messy, uncomfortable, or difficult to say out loud.

Lauren works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, perfectionism, people-pleasing, low self-esteem, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and difficulties with confidence and identity. She also has a particular interest in working with athletes and high performers experiencing performance anxiety, pressure, perfectionism, fear of failure, confidence challenges, and the emotional demands that can come with competitive environments. Another meaningful area of her work is supporting individuals through fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and the complex emotions that can accompany these experiences.

Lauren’s therapeutic style is relational and client-centred, while also being active and practical. She doesn’t believe therapy has to mean sitting back and simply listening. She will ask questions, offer new perspectives, gently challenge patterns when appropriate, and work collaboratively with clients to better understand what may be keeping them stuck. Depending on the needs of the individual, she will draw from approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, strengths-based, and emotion-focused and solution-focused approaches.

Above all, Lauren recognizes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. She aims to meet each person where they are, understand what matters most to them, and create a space that balances compassion and validation with meaningful reflection, challenge, and practical tools for change.
