Common conditions seen by sports medicine include:

• Acute & overuse injuries (sprains, strains, fractures, tendonitis)
• Chronic musculoskeletal conditions
• Osteoarthritis
• Large & small joint/bursa injections with cortisone (OHIP covered) and/or hyaluronic acid (private) if appropriate
• Injection sites ex: knee, shoulder, elbow, GT bursa, wrist, CMC joint, hand (trigger finger), ankle, great toe, etc.
• Concussion management
• Return -to-play decisions for the sick or injured athelete
• Nutrition counselling
• Exercise counselling in pregnancy, post partum patients, diabetics, and other special populations.
• Elite athelete health management
• Pre-participation physical assesments to determine safety of engaging in sports related activities
• Atheletes with chronic or acute illness (such as mono, asthma, hypertension or diabetes)
